CAMHS kurumpakara is situated adjacent to St. Anne's Latin Catholic Church, Pathanapuram in the pachayath of Endimangalam. The school which remains in the seventh ward of this panchayath has its feeding areas into Elamannoor , Kurumpakara, Mancode and Kalanjoor. Chevalier AnthraperMemmorial is the full form of the acronym of the school.
In 1968, this school was commenced under the helm of Rt. Rev. Dr Jerome. M. Fernandez, the bishop emeritus of Quilon. Mr. S. John, B. A, B. Ed became the foremost Head Master and incepted the academic year on June 1st 1964 with only three divisions in the 8th standard. It became a complete School in the year 1966. The veteran personalities who had adorned the seat of HM were Mr. S. John, Mr. S. Joseph, Mr. K. Varghese, Mr. L. Oswald, Mr. K. V Thomas, Mr. P. C Alexander, Mrs. K. C Mariyamma, Mrs. TreesaMariyan, Mrs. Mary Kutty.M , Mrs. Leelamma N. C, Mrs. Sherly Varghese and Mr. Rajan A. P. The present Head Mistress is Mrs Lovely Jacob.
It is a historical truth that the Catholic Church strives hard for the education and the nurturing of virtues in places wherever it has founded a church. It was under this circumstance that this school was established.

Rev. Fr Charles Augustine deserves to be highly commended for his tireless efforts for building the infrastructure of the school. The majority of the students who study at this school, hail from poor families of Kalanjoor, Kurumpakara, Elamannoor and Mancode. The school owns a vast ground and a good library to nurture the reading habits of students. The students of this school come up with flying colours for the SSLC examination conducted by the Board of Secondary School Examination. This school conducts sports and arts annually and ensures complete participation from the part of students.
