Parayadu LPS school which was located in the Taluk of Kottarakara at vellarvattom, Elampazhannur in the village of Kadaykal and in 1947 it was bought by the bishop of Quilon Rt. Rev. Dr Jerome. A. Fernandez. It was on the 23rd of Kumbha in 1119 that His excellency had taken the possession of the school from Parayadu, Kizhakedu veetil Sankaran, the son of Ezham Govindan and his wife Meenakshi. The school had also been a place of learning for his wife as well. But the financial constrains made him find it difficult to run the school and hand over the encumbrance certificate of the school to the Catholic Management as per the sale conveyance. This school had two main buildings. As per the government order, the school was renamed as St. Xavier's L. P. S, Parayadu on 23 rd June in 2013.

This school continues its story of success for the past 71 years. It is the tireless efforts and leadership rendered by versatile Headmasters and the teachers along with the co-operation of the Management, government and the public make it possible to retain the discipline and improve the standard of education at this school.
